Hi, I’m Callum, a graduate student pursuing a Master of Science in Statistics and Data Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-Chapel Hill). I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics.
My academic and professional journey has focused on applying statistical thinking and data science to real-world problems. I’ve gained hands-on experience through roles in education, industry, and data analysis.
Data Analysis Intern, UNC-Chapel Hill
Performed detailed statistical analyses on health-related datasets using
R to support evidence-based insights for ongoing projects. Collaborated
with interdisciplinary teams to translate data into actionable
recommendations.
Teaching Assistant, UNC-Chapel Hill
Led R programming lab sessions and guided over 20 students in developing
strong coding and data analysis skills. Helped students debug code,
interpret statistical output, and apply data science techniques to
practical problems, building strong communication and mentoring
skills.
Instructional Assistant, UNC-Chapel Hill
Supported grading and provided detailed feedback for over 150 students
across multiple statistics courses: STOR 215 Foundations of Decision
Sciences (Fall 2024), and STOR 113 Decision Models for Business
and Economics (Spring 2025)
Academic Tutor, UNC-Chapel Hill
Delivered tailored support in statistics, math, and analytics to
student-athletes in one-on-one sessions, strengthening my ability to
explain technical concepts clearly to non-expert audiences.
